Who makes these
Hello, we’re Sarah & Louie
A mother and son at a kitchen table. That’s still the whole company.
It started with one book, for someone in our own family. We wanted them to open it and find themselves inside: their face, their dog, that day at the beach nobody shuts up about. We haven’t stopped since.
Every book still passes through our hands. We look at every photograph you send us, and every page before it’s printed: the likeness, the spelling, the small things that make it theirs and nobody else’s.
Nothing leaves here until we’d be happy to give it to our own family. Which, often enough, we are.

Every page is checked by hand
Every book is individually created from your own photographs, then personally reviewed and hand-finished before it goes anywhere near a printer. No two books are the same, and nothing is sent out until it's been looked over properly.
You see it first
Once your photos are in, we'll email you a proof of your cover and two sample pages, usually within 3 working days. Nothing goes to print until you approve it.
One round of changes is included, free
If a name's spelt wrong, a face isn't quite right, or you'd like a different photo used, just tell us and we'll fix it.

Spellings, likeness, swapped photos, details we've missed.
What we can't
These are hand-finished drawings, not photographs. They're made to look like them, not to be an exact copy of the picture you sent. That's what makes them lovely to colour.
If we haven't heard from you within 7 days of sending the proof, we'll take that as a yes and get printing, so your book isn't delayed.
